There’s this trend going on where women/girls get their husbands/boyfriends/fathers to do the voiceovers for their makeup tutorials. After watching (and laughing) at some of these video I thought it would be fun to make a card process video and have my hubby do the voiceover for me. He was an awesome sport and the result was pure gold! Hope you enjoy!
I saw this fun digital image on Kenny K stamps and thought it would make a cute Father’s Day card for my hubster. Sadly, Kenny K will be shutting down its digi store on the 30th of this month, but all of their digital images are on sale for $1! I stocked up on the images I’ve been eyeing for a while. 😀
I colored the cute little policewoman with my Spectrum Noir markers. The shiny foil papers I picked up at the Dollar Tree. I learned that liquid glue does not adhere very well to the foil, so I had to use some double-sided tape to hold everything together.
Thanks so much for joining me today, and I hope you were inspired to try some nontraditional cards yourself. Be Blessed!
It never fails that birthday parties pop up when I’m swamped with “adult” responsibilities and can’t take the time to make a card. This year I decided to build up my “stash,” so when my kids get those last minute birthday party invites, I’m not rushing to the dollar store to pick up a card.
I’m also entering this card in the Stamping Bella Bellarific Friday Challenge and Tupelo Designs LLC Birthday Card Challenge.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me today.
Saturday my kids are going to a birthday party for a little boy who is turning two. This kid’s dad is a HUGE Batman fan, so I used the MFT stamp set Super Boy and watercolored his outfit to resemble Batman’s. I really like the layout of this card and wish I had enough foresight to actually plan my layouts in advance. Instead I pick random papers I like and just start cutting and scattering the pieces until I come up with something I like. Ha ha…
Thank you so much for spending some time with me today. Be blessed!
Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted. I’ve been meaning to, but life happens. Anyway, I did want to share this Christmas card I made. I loved how it turned out because I love the look of colored pencil on craft card stock. I did two layers of color with my Polychromos to try and get a more intense color.
Thank you for taking the time to visit me today! Be blessed!!
I am so excited to be in my very first video hop! This month the Scrapbook Blessings Club is being sponsored by artbymiran. This lady is truly talented and has over 300 images that are super adorbs!!!
I may have mentioned a time (or two) that I just love to color. However, I have had a few people tell me they stay away from these types of images because they don’t like to color (gasp!), so I challenged myself to make a card proving you can still make cute projects with these images with no/minimal coloring.
The link to artbymiran’s store, as well as the details about the hop and giveaway can be found in the description box of my video.
Thanks so much for visiting me today!
Happy Friday, Everyone!
It is officially Fall! (Insert loud cheering here!) And that means Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING!!! Mmmm…I love me some Pumpkin Spice. Pumpkin Spice lattes. Pumpkin Spice cheesecake. I’m currently on a “lifestyle change,” I refuse to use the “D” word, so my Pumpkin Spice is limited to scented candles and coffee themed cards. Here is the link to the video detailing how I made this card. I hope you enjoy!
I love Stamping Bella stamps. I loved the old style Bellas, but I ADORE the new style! So I was happy, happy, happy when I finally got my ink stained fingers ahold of one!
I made this card for a good friend’s birthday, but it happened to fit two challenges this month, so yay! I’m entering this card in Stamping Bella’s Bellarific Friday and Markerpop’s “For the Girls” challenge.
Thanks so much for visiting me today!
I wish I could remember where I first saw how to make the crimped envelopes so I could give the proper credit, but it’s been years ago. I do love the look though, and I am falling in love with layered stamps.
The white notecard is 4in. by 4.5in. NOT 4.25in. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me today and I hope you’ll check out the video on step by step instructions on how to make this cute card and envelope!
My brother and his wife are expecting their first baby (a girl!) in October. I have many titles, but aunt isn’t one of them. I’m very excited to meet the little person who will finally give me that title. 😊
My brother and his wife both despise the color pink. Pink is one of my very favorite colors, so it was a real challenge for me to make a “baby girl” card and not include a ton of pink. I used several Unity stamps. The mother and baby image, the sentiment, and the background hearts are all Unity stamps. The little hearts around the sentiment (and the little pink I sneaked) are from the Lawn Fawn Boo-ya stamp set.
